This week MCC welcomed students, new students and teachers back to school after the Chinese New Year holiday.
Malvern College Chengdu is a traditional British school that embraces traditional Chinese culture. On Monday we invited a professional lion dance performance team to celebrate the new start of term with the school.
It was a pleasure to invite Mr Kevin Dennis from the British Consulate General in Chongqing and Ms Gloria Yuan from Pearson to attend our lion dance.
Mr Gerrard Docherty, Deputy Head, warmly welcomed the students back to school and Mr Dennis shared his best wishes.

Lions climbing up to bless Malvern College Chengdu ensuring the schools future development as it continues to progress and achieve brilliant results; and that the students work to better themselves and attend their chosen college in the future.
The lion takes the lettuce meaning “ShengCai” in Chinese. We hope that our students will enjoy their time in MCC.
Finally, the lion gives couplets wishing all students and staff blessings for the new year ahead.
After the lion dance, Mr Dennis and Ms Yuan met with MCC’s management team to discuss more opportunities to cooperate in the future and support our students.
