The Annual MCC Charity Day! This year’s Charity Day was organized by the teachers and students of the primary school’s Confucius House. Students donated all the money raised from the charity sale to the China Social Welfare Foundation’s “Free Lunch for Children” campaign.

Early on the morning of 29 October, the library lobby was bustling. Parents of Malvern College Chengdu primary school’s PTA helped make the event possible, from purchasing supplies and delivering them to the school, to arranging the set-up. A colorful, warm, and loving charity day was born!

The charity sale was divided into six areas: building blocks, mystery boxes, stationery, beverages, snacks, candies, and desserts. Not only did this capture our students’ interests, but it was also a lot of fun. Students dressed up in festive costumes and took part in this charitable event. Taking food safety concerns into consideration, the PTA helped the children provide meals at the “hot food station”, including hot food, desserts, beverages, and ensured everything was clean and hygienic.

The charity fundraiser was a great success! This year’s event raised CNY 11,927, making both parents and teachers extremely proud. They contributed to charity and inspired more people to do the same. On the path of learning, we hope to demonstrate Malvern Qualities in a variety of ways. Together we will build our Malvern family and bring out the best in every student.
